We are confi dent that medical research will provide a vital treatment for persons sustaining spinal cord injury particularly when the treatment is given immediately following the injury event.

The QUT team and other researchers we collaborate with in Australia and overseas are also focused on seeing the immobilised walk again. The longer term goal of rehabilitating those who are immobilised could be achieved if the current research momentum is expanded and maintained over time.

We need to raise $20 million over the next five years to expand, maintain and develop this innovative and enthusiastic young research team.
